15 Tips To Lose 10 Pounds Or More

There was a time in this world when the need to lose weight was completely unheard of. People ate well, but the worked well too. They woke up early in the morning and then engaged in a whole day’s work. This work was mostly physical labor. People worked on fields digging, sowing, harvesting. They tilled they soil, rode horses, worked on farms and ranches. The result was that they could afford to eat almost anything they wanted in whatever quantities they wanted. But that was ages ago. The world has changed so much since those days. Life styles have changed so much and the comforts and facilities have increased so much.

But every rose has its thorn. As a result of all these comforts and amenities the state of physical well being has really changed. Most of us have sedentary jobs that demand little or no exercise at all. To put it simply, things have become so damn easy. And just as can be expected, weight gain has become a major concern for almost every city dweller.

During the period of thoughtless youth it is not such a major concern. The young practically eat nothing and so weight problems do not bother them so much. But as soon as you turn twenty, you start showing signs of weight gain and that too in all the wrong places.

It’s not about the hour glass figure or the perfectly sculpted and toned body. It is more about staying fit and remaining healthy to ensure a long, disease free life. Every body knows that those extra pounds spell illness. All over the world people are switching to a healthier life style and the catch line is indeed weight loss.

There is only one thing that you have to bear in mind. Weight loss does not happen by itself. There are only two ways to accomplish it… The first is by watching what you eat and the second is by seeing to it that your body gets the exercise that it needs.

As you read this post, my hope is that you’re continually amazed by all the “everyday” things you can be doing to lose 10 pounds…or more. Simple effective ways that can help you shed all the unwanted pounds in no time…

15 Tips To Lose 10 Pounds Or More

Drink plenty of water. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.

Stay away from sweetened bottle drinks, especially sodas. Hey all those colas and fizzy drinks are sweetened with sugar and sugar means calories. The more you can cut out on these sweetened bottle drinks, the better for you. So if you must drink sodas, then stick to diet sodas.

Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often sweetened but fresh fruits have natural sugars. When you eat fruit, you are taking in a lot of fiber, which is needed by the body, and fruits of course are an excellent source of vitamins.

Increase your fiber intake. Like I mentioned, the body needs a lot of fiber. So try to include in your diet as many fruits and vegetables as you can.

Eat intelligently. The difference between man and beast is that we are driven by intelligence while beasts are driven by instinct. Don’t just eat something because you feel like eating it. Ask your self whether your body really needs it.

Go easy on tea and coffee. Tea and coffee are harmless by themselves. It’s when you add the cream and sugar that they become fattening. Did you know that having a cup of tea or coffee that has cream and at least two cubes of sugar is as bad as having a big piece of rich chocolate cake?

Do not skip meals. The worst thing you can do while watching you diet is skip a meal. It has just the opposite effect of what you want. You need to have at least four regular meals every day.

Fresh vegetables are better than cooked or canned vegetables. Try to eat your vegetables raw. When you cook them, you are in fact taking away nearly half the vitamins in them. And canned vegetables too are processed and are not nearly half as good as fresh vegetables. When you buy your vegetables it would be a good thing to see if the label says that it is pesticide free.

Choose a variety of foods from all food groups every day. This is a fine way of keeping deficiency diseases at bay. Change the items included in your diet every day. This is an excellent way of keeping deficiency diseases at bay and it helps you to experiment with a variety of dishes and there by you do not get bored of your diet.

Try to have breakfast within one hour of waking. It’s always best to have breakfast within an hour of waking so that your body can charge itself with the energy it needs for the day. The idea is not to wait for your self to get really hungry. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day but that does not mean that it should be the most filling meal of the day.

Go ahead eat cheat food, but only for flavor. There are many things which you have to avoid from your diet but which you may have an undying craving for. Do not avoid them altogether. You could call them cheat foods and indulge in them once in a while. But take care just to tingle your taste buds, don’t hog on them. Instead of that share them with others.

Watch your fat intake. Each fat gram contains 9 calories so by reading the total calories on a food and knowing the quantity of fat, you can estimate the % of fat, which should in no way exceed 30% of the food.

Instead of frying things try baking them without fat. Baking or BBQ’ing is by far a healthier method of preparing food than frying. BBQ’ing requires lesser oil or fat.

Avoid crash diets. They are bad for health and you will gain what you have lost once you take a break. Crash diets are not a solution to weight loss. It might seem as if you have lost few pounds but the moment you give up on the crash diet every thing will bounce back with a vengeance. Take a look at it in this way. Do you think that it is possible for a person to survive on a crash diet for the rest of his or her life? Certainly not! So at some time or the other, you will have to give up the crash diet and then you will see for yourself that a crash diet does more harm than good on the long run. Crash diets may have a lot to promise, but very rarely do these promises ring true. Crash diets are things people go on in order to wear an old dress or suit for a particular occasion. That’s the only purpose that they serve as far as I can see.

God gave us teeth for a reason… Therefore we should develop a habit of chewing all food including liquid food and soft foods like sweets, ice creams at least 8 to 12 times. This is essential to add saliva to the food, as it is only in the saliva that sugar is digested. Often we find that whatever goes into our mouth goes down like lightning. We hardly give the saliva any time to act on the food. So does digestion take place like it should? Do we just stuff our tummies with food that doesn’t get digested or in other words that doesn’t yield the benefits that it should? Exercise out doors as far as possible. There are two advantages of doing whatever you are doing out side. One advantage is that it gives your body a chance to get a lot of the much needed fresh air and sunshine. The second advantage is that the surroundings keep you perked up and it is a break form remaining cooped up all day long

Snoring And How To Stop It

If you, or someone in your home, is a snorer, you certainly aren’t alone. In fact, medical experts like lung specialist Laurence Smolley claim that nearly forty-five percent of all normal adults have a tendency to snore. Others make even more startling claims. One source argues that snoring affects fifty million households in the United States alone. That’s over one half of the households in the country.

Two thirds of adults living with partners report that their partners snore. Nearly sixty percent of all adults profess to snoring themselves, according to the National Sleep Foundation. In other words, snoring is anything but unusual. It’s more common than most people think and those who suffer from bouts of snoring should know that they are not alone in dealing with the problem.

Debunking stereotypes Many people think of snoring as a “male thing.” The stereotypical image of a problem snorer is usually a middle aged, overweight man with a tendency toward over-eating or drinking. It’s true that male physiology encourages snoring to some extent. It’s also true that dietary habits, the intake of alcohol and excessive weight can play a role in snoring. However, dismissing snoring as a uniquely male proposition is incorrect.

Anyone can be a snorer. Infants and children are often known to “saw a log” during their slumber and many are diagnosed with sleep disorders including sleep apnea. Women are less likely to be problem snorers than men, but as they age the likelihood of snoring increases considerably.

Age matters Physiological changes explain why women tend to snore more as they age. Post-menopausal hormone shifts and changes in body fat
distribution leave nearly forty percent of women over age sixty with a snoring habit. The age factor, however, isn’t unique to the fairer sex. A 1997 British Medical Journal study reports that that the percentage of snorers increases by approximately ten percent between the ages of thirty and forty. As we age, we are simply more likely to snore.

The physiology of snoring Snoring may be common, but it isn’t normal. It is symptomatic of a problem and should be taken seriously. Snoring can be defined as the noise produced when an individual breathes during his or her sleep. This breathing (particularly the process of inhalation) creates a vibration in the soft palate and uvula. Those vibrations create a sound as the tissues contact one another in the back of the throat and in the nose.

The uvula (the hanging entity in the back of your throat) and the soft palate (the soft spot on the roof of your mouth) aren’t the only body parts involved in snoring, though. Your adenoids and tonsils may also be involved in the noisemaking activity. That’s one reason why many non-snorers are known to create a racket when they are sick or congested. But we don’t snore in the afternoon So, why do we snore while sleeping but don’t saw logs during the day?

It’s because of relaxation. When you sleep, your body relaxes deeply. Even your internal body parts take a break. Your throat muscles relax and when that happens, your airway closes partially. That might sound eerie, but it’s perfectly normal. However, if you add an obstruction of some sort to that natural closing of the airway, snoring can result. The physiology of snoring isn’t that complicated, but understanding that your hanging uvula and soft palate are vibrating on top of a partially constricted airway doesn’t really explain why you might be snoring in the first place. There are a variety of potential snoring causes. Consider a few of them:

. You may have a naturally narrow throat. When you relax the natural closing of the airway may encourage snoring. This genetic cause of snoring probably isn’t the most common explanation for a loud evening, but it may be part of the story.
. Carrying extra weight or fat in the neck can also cause a more restricted airway. That will, obviously, encourage snoring.
. Age naturally creates a narrowing of air passages, which makes snoring more likely. This is why many women who have slept silently for decades suddenly find themselves snoring after menopause.
. Smoking is a potential cause of snoring. When you smoke, muscles relax. We’ve discussed the role that can play in the process. Additionally, inhalation of smoke creates lung and nasal congestion, which will also spur snoring. Many studies indicate that second-hand smoke exposure can also turn otherwise silent sleepers into snorers.
. Irregularities with the nasal passageways may cause labored breathing and snoring. This may be a genetic situation or it may be caused by a facial trauma of some sort.
. Enlarged tonsils or adenoids may create airway obstructions that lead to more vibrations and, thus, more snoring. This can happen in cases of infection (such as tonsillitis) or when a person simply has adenoids or tonsils that are larger than average.
. Those with long soft palates or extended uvulas are far more likely to suffer from snoring than are others.
. Consumption of alcohol can cause snoring, as can some types of medication. Again, the culprit is over-relaxation which leads to additional airway closure.

Sleep position can also play a role in snoring. When you sleep on your back, your throat’s flesh may relax and block your airway more than when on your stomach or side. Propping your head up on pillows may also create an angle that will contribute to blocking your airways, encouraging snoring.

Procrastination - Who me? I Dont Do That !

Procrastination is the end to your time. It is that because once you begin to procrastinate, it is likely that you will face a long road to getting back on track.

Procrastination is the means of putting off something for another day even though you have the ability and the time to obtain those goals right now.

If you are someone that is known for waiting until the last minute to get the work done, this could be causing you a variety of problems that can be wrecking your day and your time. The fact is, though, most people go through the process of procrastination, in different amounts every day.

When you procrastinate, you are actually not getting to achieve what you are capable of achieving and that can cause you to miss out on many opportunities for success in many ways. Procrastination can ruin your career because it may be the one thing that shows others that you are unable to achieve your goals.

How in the world can you actually get around this problem, then? Start with learning what is happening and knowing how to react when you begin to procrastinate. When you realize that you are procrastinating or about to, you can recognize this, stop it and get back on track to better managing your time.

It is also important for you to understand why people procrastinate and in doing so you will be in a better position to avoid allowing it to happen to you, over and over again.

Finally, you need to take the right steps to managing your time so that you can manage the outcomes of your time by learning how to deal with procrastination. It’s a mind set that you can not afford with the limited amount of time that you actually have.

Why Do You Procrastinate?
Procrastination is something that many people, if not all people, actually deal with. You should not believe that this is something that only you go through. Yet, it is something that you need to take care of as quickly as you can so that you can take back the time you are losing.

Procrastination is defined as putting off doing something that you should be putting your attention onto right now.

Usually, people do this when they want to do something else that is favorable, a bit more fun or even just easier.

Is this you? Do you spend long days working hard at what you are trying to accomplish but you are investing your time in accomplishing the easy tasks instead of taking on the larger, more important tasks?

A common problem here is that many people can not see the difference between priorities in tasks. For example, you have an important task to complete. You also have an urgent task to complete. Which do you go to first? You should accomplish the important task because it is just that, important!

Far too many people look towards accomplish the things that they think are necessary to complete right now, forgo the important task and then need to find a way or a time to balance the ball in their favor. Here are some common examples of this.

Let’s say you are working at your desk and in walks your boss. They need you to handle an important client. The phone rings, it is another employee, struggling to accomplish his task and wants your help. You get back to work. The other employee calls again. They need you. Which task do you do; the important client or the employee that will keep calling until you help?

The task here that you should be completing is that which is important, the one that needs your full attention and that will get you the most bang for the buck.

Unfortunately, far too many people strive to accomplish that other task because that person has complained, called and got into their head and they now are the loudest voice there telling them what to do.

But, when you react to that person, you change the way that the day is flowing. Now you need to deal with the important client, when you are stressed and overwhelmed. You’ll also have to explain to the boss why you made the client wait, why the task was not completed soon enough and in the end why the job was not done completely right (because you could not concentrate, of course.)

Other times when this can happen include when you think you are doing the right thing by asking fast. Or, perhaps you did not even think about which is the best task to complete and just jumped on board. That isn’t going to serve you well down the road when you need the help the most.

Are You Overwhelmed Yet?
One of the other reasons that many people struggle with procrastination does not have to do with any of these other situations. It has to do with the feeling of being so overwhelmed that you feel like you just can not do it.

For example, you have a large and important project on your desk. There are many steps to accomplishing it and it will take time to go through the project, organize and accomplish it.

The instant feeling of being overwhelmed attacks. You can feel it in your shoulders, in your head and all of a sudden, you just can no longer focus on the process and you end up facing the fact that today just got very long and complicated.

Perhaps you are not sure where you should start the project. You may even feel as if the task is so large or so hard that you do not have the skills or the ability to complete it or complete all of it. Perhaps you do not think you have all of the information and tools to get the job done right. Instead of accomplishing the task, then, you put it off to the side, for another day.

Why would you do that? Most people do this form of procrastination because it feels easier to accomplish something that they can do and know that they can do. They feel that the big project is just too hard.

Whether you have the intention of going back and completing the project or not, you have now sidestepped the job so that you can gain the comfort and the benefit of completing a job that is easier for you to do.

Since that was an important job, you realize at the last minute that you need to complete it and the overwhelming worry starts up all over a gain except; now there is more problem to deal with. Now, time is limited which means less focus and less ability to complete the job with the same quality that you could have done beforehand even though you think you could not have done so.

Important jobs and projects that are larger and harder do not just go away. They can not be shoved under the carpet until the next day, week or whenever you get to it. If you do that, you are likely to never be able to complete the project like you could complete it if you did it today, with your full attention and the time to do it right.

Procrastination can cause all types of negative situations for you. For example, some additional reasons that you may procrastinate include not being able to organize your thoughts and your needs, fearing that you will fail at the task, and waiting for the right time to start on your project. No matter what, it is still procrastination!

Many people need to work on improving their situations so that they can improve the overall need that they have for achieving time management skills. For some, being a perfectionist may be the reason that they do not step forward to complete the important tasks. For others, making decisions is not something that they know how to do correctly and thoroughly, which leads to not making any decision at all.

All of these signs of procrastination are just that: signs for you to stop doing them and to start taking back control of your time and your life. Understanding why it happens is the first step. Examine your life and the tasks that you are procrastinating right now. Why are you really putting off doing something that you could be doing today?

Let It Go

Are you letting your past define who you are now? Not everyone grows up in the house with the proverbial white picket fence. Dysfunctional family members are so relatable to the public nowadays that they are even main characters in primetime television shows. The point is that not everyone has a picture perfect childhood, not everyone looks back fondly upon their high school years, and not everyone has the best experiences throughout the rest of their lives.

If you have encountered undesirable occurrences in your life - whether it was a rough upbringing, torturous encounters with bullies during your school years, or maybe some bad romantic relationships – you need to take a good look at how these events have molded you into the person you are today. All sorts of personality traits can be blamed on your personal history.

Freud believed that babies who are not shown the affection they crave would eventually grow up to become melancholy adults. Although today’s psychology experts have since discredited a lot of what Freud believed, the idea is still a valuable one: your past has an affect on who you are today. It is up to you to decide whether the affect your past has on you is going to be detrimental or instead beneficial.

If you find that you are having trouble letting certain things from the past go, then perhaps it’s time to go on a serious soul-searching endeavor. Remember that you continually grow psychologically, and just because you were dealt some bad hands in the past, does not mean that you are a slave to your history.

Consider all past experiences as valuable ones. It can be said that your past defines you, or at least it helped form who you are today. Facing adversity in the past does not necessarily guarantee a scarred life forevermore. Some people take the bad things that happened to them in the past and use them as powerful learning experiences.

The fact of the matter is that, even if your life has been riddled with problems this far, there is no reason you cannot learn from your past and allow the events to teach you lessons. Have you had a particularly bad relationship? Take a hard look at what lead up to the relationship, such as why you chose the partner and why you stayed up to the point when you left.

Are you trying to recover from a particularly bad financial situation? If you analyze what led you to get into the situation to begin with, it can teach you how to never get into that sort of situation ever again. No matter what your life has been like so far, everything that has happened to you has helped to make you what you are today. You need to decide if you would rather ruminate over any bad experiences you have had, or if you will instead use them as valuable tools and move on with your life in a positive manner.

Acknowledge your past so you won’t be doomed to repeat it. Many people do things throughout their lives that they later consider to be mistakes…some events are so painful to think back on that people might wind up suppressing them and not allowing themselves to think about them ever again. This does not refer to regressive memories, but rather to events that a person is embarrassed about and chooses to not think about.

Cheating on a partner might fall into this category, or being involved in some sort of criminal act. Acknowledging your past does not mean that you need to announce to the world that you have had these sorts of experiences in your life, but instead it is more of an acknowledgement for your own sake.

If you find certain events in your past to have been so embarrassing or horrifying, the main objective is to give yourself the chance to mull it over. You should allow yourself to consider the various past events that you feel may be holding you back. You should also allow yourself the gift of forgiveness.

If you think about it, you are probably harder on yourself than anyone else is on you…if you forgive yourself for the mistakes you have made in the past you will find that you are better equipped to move forward in your life. What a powerful gift you can give yourself. No matter what your past holds, you can acknowledge your mistakes, forgive yourself, and move on.

Have a fun little “Letting Go” ritual. Many therapists and other psychology professionals endorse the idea of having a formal instance where you say goodbye to whatever memories from your past that are dragging you down. You might have pictures of a person who emotionally scarred you that you can burn, or maybe you have a piece of jewelry from a previous bad relationship that you can sell or give away.

Pick an action that will allow you to release the bad memory, and after your “Letting Go” ritual consider yourself as having moved on. Getting your life together will be so much easier if you go about it without a bunch of emotional baggage. There is so much more to changing your life than what has been listed so far, but use the suggestions as a sort of outline to get you revved up and ready to change your life.

There probably isn’t a person in the world whose life is absolutely perfect, and keeping a life in order takes constant revisions and flexibility. You can get to a point where you feel more satisfied with your life than you do now, however, only with some want and dedication.

We All Need Time Out !!

Hello once again to all.. its Miz Helena here on this glorious Tuesday morn here in beautiful Sydney..  i hope this blog finds everyone well and your having a great week so far..

Well its time to strip off the suit and tie for a few moments.. ive been extremely busy these past few days trying to get lots done and up and in place before the big day..  so far so good im very pleased with my efforts and what ive managed to tackle.. Abundant World has been such a pleasure to work with and promote..  quite different from erotica i must admit.. actually WAY different from erotica..  lol..  and its been quite a welcomed change in direction.. so make sure you check out our new FREE Club Abundant World membership and our Ebay store!!  pretty kool stuff !!

However..  this blog isnt about talking business .. no..  like i said ive removed the suit and tie.. just like a businessman would when he comes home from work.. this is a time for me.. to sit and reflect and ease the pressures and smile and be happy like if i was to go to the park and pick a flower or something..    lol..  its so wonderful to appreciate lil moments like this..  taking time out.. coz we all need it.. sometimes we need to shift the focus away from the dollars and get back to what truly matters..

anyways.. as some of you know.. my day is fast approaching..  and is causing me to become excited and jittery at the same time..  i always get that way when the time draws near.. the same happened when i took off to Japan last year..  but im sooo looking forward to it.. firstly i have to tell you all about my passport dramas ..   just last week i thought i lost mine and paniced like you wouldnt believe!! so thru all the mix up i rang to cancel it ..  but found it in the meantime..  but it was too late to put a stop on the cancellation..  so i had to apply for a priority replacement !!  forking out more dollars and putting it on urgent dispatch.. luckily that arrived just the other day..  which i picked up from my local PO.. PHEW!!

No matter how busy i get.. i now lay down my guns and get out every evening and get the blood pumping!!  A couple of my neighbours and I have been meeting up for our nightly cozy walks and we’ve been having a ball!! we walk around quite aimlessly.. not knowing where we will be ending up!!… Just the other night we got so carried away with our girly chats that we ended up close to the airport !!  i’d say in another 10 mins we would have been amongst the international passengers waving em off !!  LOL..  but nevertheless we always have fun.. we had to hurry back thou as not to miss Desperate Housewives !!  LOL

Its tax time YAY !!  and that means moola moola moola…. sometimes its great at times like these not to be a fulltime worker.. coz you get most of the tax back (in fact the majority of it back !!) when your income falls below the tax threshold..  esp for me now that comes in very handy !!  more cash = better shopping opportunities !! lol..  haha..  nah im not that bad..  hihi..  well..  i dont think so anyways..  my mentor however has a very different opinion..  he reckons thats all i like to do..  well i did leave him stranded one time without FTP help when he needed it and i just took off..   oooops..  (it wasnt as bad as it sounds btw..  HONEST!!)..   lol..   but yes..  i do love my shopping.. but im not what you might picture as a girl dolled up to the nines browsing all day with a soporifically bored bf in tow….  asking me every 5 mins if im done yet..  LMFAO..  no.. i dont drag ANYONE with me.. its my private time.. (ohh occasionally i will ask my gf..  then do lunch afterwards)… but for the most part i go myself and make a day of it.. and get other things done too.. like a deep Thai massage…  (mmmmm…  drool time… ) and intimate waxing.. and I have an absolute ball too!! my fave items of interest have to be unusual tops and perfumes…  and sometimes shoes if any catch my fancy..  my fave shoes have to be platforms.. not only because i think are very sexy..  but i looove the retro look and (shhhhh!!!) i also gain a few inches too !!  LOL plus the fact they are much more comfy to wear than stiletto heels .. (which i find hard to walk in believe it or not!!.. i totter rather than walk when i wear em..  lol.. ).. but i could wear platforms all day and stand in em no probs..  for casual wear im in loove with Docs.. i use to have a mid-calf length pair that i had to throw out recently coz ive had em forever and they were falling part..  a very sad day that was.. and im still looking for a similar pair but me cannot find !!

anyways..  love life talk time..  haha..  mines been sooo hot and exciting .. leaving me spinning and breathless .. (NOT!!)  lol..   my kiwi boy keep me busy thou.. on the fone..  like last weekend..  i swear you would think i owned telstra the way i was constantly nattering.. and that was after spending 2 nights in a row with the phones practically buried up my kazoo..  lol..  but yes sadly my love life is non existant right now.. lack of sex .. sorry correction.. NO SEX has fried my brain..  lol..  and i swear i thought i felt the first signs of threads appearing across my ?&^%$^!  lol.. wild fantasies, long pointed objects and chocolate have become my bestest bedtime buddies..  lol..  the chocolate has to be cadburys of course..   but seriously peepz..  my mind has been on a tremendous headfuck for about a year now .. Tray knows all about it.. well some of it..  the rest is so confusing.. draining..  and sooo fuckin pathetic..  however.. as each day passes and with strong support and positivity around me.. i have recovered .. im pleased to say..  no longer am i obsessed with a PC screen..  and someone i didnt even know..  and for that im giving myself constant pats on the back and looking at things as a learning experience.. i dont want to go into any details here.. and bore the pants off everyone..  so lets just suffice to say its no longer a problem.. YAY !!!

im thinking of cutting my hair.. (only thinking at this stage sweetee..  hehe yes you cutee.. !!)..  anyways.. i would like to consider a shaggy cut.. i seen a style on a chick recently and she looked great!! and it got me thinking hmmm..  left long at the back with wispy layers around the fringe and sides.. with multiple streaks of colour ..   hmm… quite beautiful and reminded me very much of the 70’s and 80’s..  and how sexy the girls were..  so will be thinking about it as summer approaches and im back and brown and golden all over.. (yes that means NO bikini lines and yes..  thats how you get it !!..  LOL)…  ive had a style similar in the past and it felt so light and comfy.. the only thing i didnt like about it is when you want to grow it back and it ends up looking weird..  trying so hard to style it in ways that suits and doesnt make you look like youve stuck your fingers in the electrical sockets.. lol… so will announce my big decision if i decide.. right here. ..    in with the new and out with the old??.. could be subconsiously !!

hey im still getting offers of settling down with complete strangers here still..  i cannot believe… im so sure they are part of a phishing scam or similar.. coz there sob stories are all the same..  you might of read samples i posted at AWP MS page..  ohhhh but the good news is hits are waning..  coz ive stood up and spoke my mind and told em to expand their narrow lil one track minds..  fancy assuming someone wants to be hit upon coz of a pic..  damn we really have allowed ourselves to become so twisted and warped.. our natural sense of love and life has diminished so much…  so sad that is..   the only thing we can do is stay true to ourselves and soldier on..  (hopefully without codral)..  lol..  so very pleased i have stuck to my very big guns and put em in their place..  if i do wanna get nasty all i have to do is switch off and head on over to angel and her deviate pages and let her take over for a few hours.. its great because she actually keeps me balanced..  you know..  the yin and yang..  these days i’d say the 80/20 rule applies in  my life..  80% angel and 20% deviate angel..  lol.. and its super to be able to just switch off and become sumone else.. and release all the pent up **&&^%$$@! that goes on in my mind..  funny thou.. ive found the more you try to release sumthing the more it follows you..  lol … truth!!  so thats why i take time out to go a lil crazy and have a bit of fun.. and embrace it rather than try and fight it..  its inside us all.. its just sum ppl are to chicken to admit it..

well i hope i havent chewed off everyones ear yet..  its so theraputic for me to just spill it all..  you know loosen the tie a bit and relax..  i cant forever be making out that butter doesnt melt in my mouth..  im just a normal gal with normal hang ups just like the rest..  just because im running a positive family orientated business doesnt mean things dont get to me..  i do have my moments too..  this is why we have diaries and blogs thank goodness.. to just blurt out whats been happening and whats on our minds.. i hope you tooo can relate to that feeling..

I hope you enjoy sum of these recent snaps i took inour BBQ area  (where i attempted to make my first live AWP vid for UT..  but got sidetracked badly !!)  lol..  but i will get round to that..    ENJOY peepz and have a brill week ahead !!  **sweet hugs and kisses for all**

Preparing Your Home for that Holiday Dinner - Get the House Ready

Don’t leave everything to the last minute. It’s all about planning. Start early, make a list and go over it often. It keeps your head clear, and you won’t be second guessing yourself, and wondering what you’ve forgotten.

Clean your house ahead of time. You don’t want to be vacuuming the day of the big event.

Set your table as much as a day before; it takes time to do this properly, and this way you won’t be rushed.

Crowd control. Try and keep the numbers low; feeding 25 people is a job for a caterer, dinner for 8-10 on the other hand is manageable.

Organize your home to avoid unnecessary crowding in a particular area. For instance, don’t set the bar up in the middle of the kitchen. Have the bar in one area, convenient to a cooler of ice, and the nibble table in another area. You may also want to set up small groupings of seating in different places so that your guests don’t all collect in one spot.

Set up an area where the kids can go and relax and be kids.

Table talk. Buffets are best if you are using more than one dinner table, otherwise it gets a little cumbersome passing food around. If you want a family style setting, try having more than one serving dish of most items.

I prefer to let my guests sit where they please, but some common rules for designating seating are:

  • Use name cards, encouraging people to sit beside someone different.
  • Never seat spouses together.
  • Unless they’d rather be on their own, include the children as opposed to having a “kid’s table”.Table Setting 101 - a quick guide to setting the table.
  • Forks go on the left, and knives (blades facing in), and spoons on the right.
  • Dessert fork and spoon go up on the top of the plate.
  • Glasses go to the right and the bread and butter plate to the left.Special touches. Sometimes adding those extra touches can make a memorable gathering. Try serving a special drink in honor of the day. It also makes your job easier; you can have a pitcher already made in the fridge ready to pour.Have some sort of novelty at the dinner table, such as holiday crackers. Everyone puts on the goofy hats, take turns reading their fortune and then shows off their prize. At Christmas I like to make a table gift exchange. It’s easy to do, just go to the local discount store, buy some random small gifts, wrap them and attach a long ribbon to each one. Place them in a basket in the middle of the table (this also doubles as a centerpiece). Everyone grabs a ribbon and selects a prize. The real fun is all of the table chatter as guests trade amongst themselves for the best gift.

What’s in the center of the table? A centerpiece is important, but it doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. Here are some simple ideas:

  • Stagger some pillar candles and wrap the bottoms with seasonal vine from the craft store.
  • Have a large bowl with a candle and surrounded by fruit or baby gourds.
  • Clean out a small pumpkin and place a bouquet of flowers inside. Create mini candle holders by using baby pumpkins, add a candle and flowers.
